All materials and tools are provided. Please bring an apron or work shirt and gloves to protect your hands from heat.
Yuri will discuss and demonstrate the fundamental process of steam-bending wood, from wood selection and preparation, to the actual bending and drying process. You will witness live demonstrations and practice free form bending without moulds. Yuri will also introduce her own playful approach to bending, which includes a fascinating method she learned from skilled wooden boat builders. Discover how to achieve stunning results without the need for a traditional steam box.
